Dementia-Inclusive Communities Virtual Conversation

  • Virtual via Zoom Online (map)

Join Erasing Boundaries and Elder Care Alliance for a community conversation about co-creating arts & cultural access with people living with dementia. This event is free and water will be provided. We would like to invite anyone with an interest in building accessible, dementia-inclusive communities grounded in shared culture to attend this conversation, the first in a series.

You can expect this conversation to be lively, well-facilitated, and to include art-making and creative exploration. We hope in this hour to identify both barriers and solutions to arts access for people living with dementia, and begin to envision what a truly inclusive community might look like. We invite people living with dementia and their care partners, professional and informal caregivers, artists and arts professionals, and professionals in the aging and dementia sectors to attend.

The main library is ADA accessible, via elevator. If you have a specific accessibility request, or if you need transportation or caregiving assistance, please contact us for more information.
